My Life in Lilly

Okay, so here goes my last-few-week recap! :)  This is me with most of Katie B. and my purchases at the Lilly Sale!!! I left out a few of the things I got for the Boy as well as all of the things that we got for my mom! As you can see, we truly live in Lilly Heaven.  I got 3 dresses, 7 polos, one skirt, 3 pairs of shoes, 3 bathing suits, one bag, one pillow cover, 3 sweaters, 2 shirts, and some other things that i can't remember just this moment.  It was the most amazing day ever!!!

Then later that week I got to tour THE Pink Palace.  It was kind of a yucky day out, but that did not get me down!! Pulling into the parking lot I felt like my heart was beating out of my chest! I was just so excited!  My mom, Katie and I arrived about 20 minutes too early so we had to wait in the car, boy did that kill us! haha

This is Torie.  She's the amazing lady that took us on the tour! She's the older sister of one of the girls in my sorority! It was like fate that we met! haha She seriously couldn't have been any nicer.  She showed us all around the print room, warehouse, vintage closet, and we even got to see all of the new designs that are going to be coming out in the next year! It was just about the coolest thing I've ever done!

Here's Katie, my Mom, and I all in front of some of the new Resort collection.  That dress on the far left has a place waiting for it in my closet.  Isn't it just darling?! The colors to come are just amazing--just as expected of Lilly!  haha

Did I mention that Torie is PART OF THE PRINT DESIGN TEAM?!! Okay, so that was the coolest thing ever.  And she was nice enough to paint this little watercolor for the shop that I work in! I framed it and put a little card that explains that it was made specifically for the shop by a Lilly designer.  It has a lovely little spot next to the Torie Dress (part of the Jubilee collection)

Little Charlotte is growing up so fast.  I swear she gains like 5 lbs a week! Here she is playing in the back yard in her cute little Lilly collar that we purchased at the Warehouse Sale.  so cute :)

Here's Katie and I in Philadelphia during her stay with me.  We took a day in the city and walked around Rittenhouse Square.  It was so much fun!  There was an arts fair going on and it was so neat to see all of the different paintings and sculptures.  It was also cool because there were a bunch of vendors there with lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers for so cheap! We didn't get to buy anything but it was still so neat to see everything!  We took my brother and his girlfriend along with us.  We ate lunch at Parc and it was so good!! If you're ever in the city I definitely recommend it! :)

Here's Katie and I on her birthday! We had the house to ourselves for the whole week--in the Outer Banks.  We went shopping for a little bit and then ate dinner at this little place near my house called Bad Bean.  Its a little mexican taqueria and it is the BEST.  I get the shrimp quesadilla and it is sooooooo yummy! :)

Katie and I climbed to the top of the Corolla Lighthouse.  It was sooo worth the 200+ steps it took to get to the top! The view was absolutely breath-taking!  Behind us is the Whalehead Club.  Someday I hope to be married there.  It is so beautiful.

This is just a little project that Katie did one day for me while I was at work.  Isn't it just so cute!! She used acrylic paints on a canvas to make a drawing similar to one of my Lilly Pulitzer dresses!  I can't wait to hang it up in my room! :)

Well, now that I've gotten you all caught up with my life I'm going to get back to watching The Notebook, my favorite :)

Random, but..

Ok, so in the fall I will be moving into my sorority house and my room mate and I have chosen this as our bedspread.  The theme will be pink and green (duhh. lol) But we are having a hard time finding some great things to match it! We need a rug (5x7) and curtains (preferably ones that make the room dark, haha), along with anything else that would be good to decorate with!  We want to spend as little money as possible, college budgets suck.  Anyways, any suggestions on where to look?

SO FUN.

Those are two words to describe the past two days!  (minus the two 6 hour drives by myself...haha) Work was great!  I have the pleasure of working with the nicest women!  The shop is pretty laid-back, so that's perfect for me!  I have a feeling I'm going to love it there :)

Tuesday was AMAZING!!!!! Katie, my mom, and I got to go a day early to the Lilly Warehouse sale.  HEAVEN.  We found so many great things!  The deals were unbelievable!  I don't think I'll be able to shop again until Christmas!! Haha, I'll post some pictures of all of our "loot" later :)  Here's a little preview:

My First Big Day!!!

I'm so nervous! I'm about to start my very first day on the job!  I have to be there soon, so I have to go get ready.  This is what I'm wearing. Very appropriate for a Lilly VIA shop :) I'll blog more about it when I get home tonight!!

Birthday Tea

So today I took my mom and grandmother to tea in the city! It was sooo much fun!  We went to The Rittenhouse  and the food was amazing!  We had a traditional high tea with finger sandwiches, scones with strawberry preserves, lemon curd, devonshire cream, and a selection of tarts, pastries, and chocolate covered strawberries! Yum!  We also got to each pick out a type of tea, I had the Traditional English Breakfast Tea...sometimes the classics are the best :)  If you're ever in Philadelphia I definitely recommend checking it out!  Rittenhouse Square was the cutest little part of Philadelphia--I hope to explore it more next week when Katie comes to visit!! :)
